Storms batter Queensland

Thousands of homes are without power following severe thunderstorms in south-east Queensland last night.
The storms stretching from Kilcoy, north of Brisbane, to the southern Gold Coast have taken down power lines and trees.
Energex says crews will be working throughout the night, with power already restored to a third of affected houses.
But it says 19,500 home are still blacked out, with some likely to still be without power in the morning.
